PRACTICE OVERVIEW
Ezra Doner specializes in the production, finance and distribution of motion pictures and other entertainment programs and products, as well as copyright and literary property. He also practices in the Internet and new media areas and in arbitration, both as an arbitrator and an advocate.
Mr. Doner has more than 25 years’ experience representing financiers, producers, distributors, and exhibitors of filmed entertainment, rights holders, film makers, writers and other artists, and companies and entrepreneurs, across all entertainment, media and information industry sectors.
Mr. Doner’s client work includes complex rights transactions, film and television library transactions including financings, co-production and distribution arrangements, purchase of entertainment assets in bankruptcies, high level talent and film maker agreements, bank representation in work-outs, and innovative film finance transactions.
Mr. Doner has been a partner in major national law firms and has been an business and legal affairs executive, including Miramax Films, where he was head of the department.
